Bringing 25+ Years of Healthcare Excellence to Medici Orthopaedics & Spine

With a career spanning more than two decades, Robyn Petrey is a seasoned healthcare professional with a heart for helping others. Since starting her journey in 1995 as a chiropractic assistant, she’s expanded her skills across chiropractic care, physical therapy, primary care, high-risk OB/GYN, billing, and medical administration.

After moving from Texas to Georgia in 2016, Robyn joined Medici Orthopaedics & Spine, bringing not only her clinical knowledge but also her leadership abilities. Since then, she’s supported the company's growth in building out internal systems for billing, authorization, and scheduling while continuing to wear multiple hats as the practice has evolved.

Robyn divides her time between our Kennesaw and Snellville clinics, most often found in Kennesaw 3–4 days per week and Snellville as needed. Her warm presence, advocacy mindset, and deep commitment to patient care make her a trusted leader across the Medici network.

From Patient to Advocate: A Personal Journey Through Chronic Pain

Robyn’s story is more than professional — it’s deeply personal. Shortly after relocating to Georgia, she was involved in a serious car accident that left her with eight bulging spinal discs and chronic daily pain. She experienced firsthand the emotional and physical toll that comes with navigating pain management, insurance battles, and life-changing injuries.

Instead of letting these challenges defeat her, Robyn used her experience to fuel a passionate advocacy for others. Her empathy comes not from textbooks, but from living it herself: every procedure, every therapy, every tough conversation with a case manager or insurance adjuster. Today, Robyn is a fierce, compassionate voice for Medici patients because she truly understands what they're going through.

Leading Patient Advocacy for Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation Cases

As the Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation Liaison, Robyn specializes in helping patients secure the treatments and benefits they deserve. Her work often involves going toe-to-toe with case managers and insurance adjusters, advocating tirelessly for patients even when cases stretch on for months or years.

One notable case saw Robyn supporting a patient through three different court systems over two years — simply because the patient asked for her help. That kind of loyalty and integrity has earned her the trust and gratitude of both patients and the Medici team.

A Philosophy of Care Built on Listening, Trust, and Compassion

Robyn's philosophy of care is simple but powerful: Listen first, advocate fiercely, and treat every patient like family. She knows many chronic pain patients have been dismissed, judged, or misunderstood elsewhere. At Medici, Robyn ensures they are seen, heard, and respected — from the first phone call to the final follow-up.

Whether she’s preparing a patient for their first procedure, helping them understand their rights, or simply offering a listening ear on a tough day, Robyn brings transparency, warmth, and empathy to every interaction.

Serving those who served is an honor

Serving Veterans, Supporting Families, and Giving Back Beyond the Clinic

Robyn’s heart for service extends far beyond her daily role. As the proud daughter of a Vietnam veteran who served 21 years, and with several other family members who have served, she holds deep respect for military families and veterans. While she previously helped navigate VA referrals and authorizations, she now supports the team members who have taken on those responsibilities — always ready to lend her experience when needed.

Robyn has also volunteered with Embrace Grace, a national nonprofit that supports women navigating unplanned pregnancies. Her passion for mentoring and uplifting others stems from her own experiences navigating life as a single mother of four and later joining a large blended family. She thrives on staying busy, staying grounded in her faith, and making time for what matters most — family, service, and meaningful connection.

“Healing starts with trust, empathy, and clear communication. At Medici, that's the foundation we build for every patient.”

She knows firsthand the challenges and triumphs that come with life’s unexpected turns — and it’s that real-world compassion that shines through in everything she does.
