Charles Browning keeps Medici running from the inside out, managing finance, IT, and logistics with precision, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to care.
Charles Browning didn’t plan on working in pain management — but Medici is lucky he found his way here. With a professional background that spans Microsoft, Infor Global Solutions, and Hewlett-Packard, Charles brings decades of high-level finance, IT, and operations experience into an environment that’s anything but typical.
Today, he oversees accounting and financial operations across Medici’s multiple locations, making sure the numbers line up — and the lights stay on. But don’t be fooled by his job title alone. On any given day, you might also find him installing X-ray machines, wiring network hubs, troubleshooting computer systems, hauling equipment with his personal truck and trailer, or patching telecom panels in the closet.
“Some days I’m running payroll or reconciling accounts. Other days I’m hanging lead walls for imaging rooms. You do what needs to be done — and you do it right the first time.”
Though not involved in clinical care, Charles interacts with plenty of patients — often during lighter moments, like conversations in the gym or friendly check-ins in the hallway. His philosophy? Listen first. Let people be heard. Add your two cents only if it helps.
He’s also a low-key de-escalation specialist. As a tall, calm presence with a personable demeanor, Charles is sometimes called in to help ease tension when a situation gets difficult — not with force, but with patience and respect. It’s a natural extension of the culture at Medici: dignity, empathy, and a human touch in every interaction.
As Medici continues to grow, Charles is at the center of it all — managing contracts, evaluating vendor tools, optimizing systems, and saving money wherever possible. He doesn’t just crunch numbers. He translates them into action, making sure Medici can continue offering the highest-quality care with the least amount of waste or outsourcing.
For Charles, the mission is personal:
“I want to be someone who shows up healthy, who practices what we preach. You can’t talk about restoring quality of life if you’re not living it yourself.”
Outside of work, Charles is anything but sedentary. At 57, he’s still lining up at motocross races, tearing through tracks on his Husqvarna FC 350, and climbing rock walls just for fun. He owns multiple bikes, a Harley he bought for his 50th birthday, and a trailer that hauls gear between clinics — and racetracks. His stories are legendary, and his presence is unforgettable.
With a family legacy that includes a radiologist grandfather, a federal judge father, and a Marine brother, Charles blends discipline, curiosity, and humor into everything he does. He’s the kind of guy who tells you to eat more oranges, do your morning stretches, and “create space in your joints.” And somehow, it all makes sense.
